A neat feature would be to make use of the PIC Audio/Video connectivity with Windows Live Messenger to allow a guest to be "called" based on their Windows Live ID. All the collaboration would still use Lync Web App, but Audio and Video would be handled via Windows Live Messenger.

There needs to be a method for Lync and QQ to talk. This may not be for everyday business use, but certainly extends the audience.
I think MS could crete a good, standard, reliable and officially supported backup and restore tool for Lync
A full, native, easy integration beteween Lync and Skype, without third-party product like Asterisk.

Lync needs phone number management showing ranges, available numbers (DIDs or ext), and who has what number. Right now I have to track this in excel and/or powershell reports.
My idea is for Microsoft to actually do something about the missing features.
From my perspective, these missing features are the customers' biggest complaints.

Give the opportunity to a user to forward incoming calls if it is a busy state ( first call is going on ).
This is a common PBX feature and is requested by customers that are migrating it's infrastructure from old PBX and Lync Server
Forwarding incoming calls other then voice mail, if user is logged off and has not setup any forwarding,before logging off.
Could be such a system parameter to be set up or user by user.
I done it using MSPL script. Could be cool if MS can implement it in a easy way
The Response Group need a Supervisor Role that could do these task via Web Browser:
- see the agents member of a Formal Group in realtime
- add or remove an agent from a Formal Group
For Small Businesses Lync Online and SBA Integration (for PSTN Integration) could be interesting. In that way you can enable Enterprise Voice features and also have voice business continuity in case of WAN failure.
