Desktop/Application Sharing - User Control time limit

It would be good to see a conferencing policy option that has a time limit setting for how long someone is able to control a machine, once they have passed the time limit they can request control again, This would be a useful security feature, as users may forget someone has control to their machine leaving the machine exposed.

Extend RBAC to Topology Builder

We have 30-some root-level sites defined in our Topology. Most of those are run by independent IT staffs. Those staffs do not have rights to publish Topology (they could then change stuff that they have no need to change in other sites).

The downside is that there is a core group of us who publishes the topologies for all of these sites. As such, the requests come in to us in numerous formats (even though we try to... more »

Allow Company search in Lync Client

If you file a contact in Outlook 2010 (Exchange 2010) as a Company (http://i1163.photobucket.com/albums/q545/tobiefysh/Capture-1.png) then it is not searchable in Lync (http://i1163.photobucket.com/albums/q545/tobiefysh/Capture-2.png) yet if you then file it "incorrectly" by putting the company name as the Last Name it works fine (http://i1163.photobucket.com/albums/q545/tobiefysh/Capture-3.png).

I do not know if this... more »

Send message confirmation

All too often you may be searching for someone and unknowingly send a message to the wrong person with a similar name. Sometimes in the worst case, you may send a message about cats or something silly to a manager way higher up instead of that friend, with obvious repercussions.

I propose a confirmation box (something along the lines of "Do you really wish to send this message to 'full name'") to show up for the first... more »

Default printer linked to Set Location

I have noted that Set Location has the ability (perhaps through IP address) to detect my current location. It would be a very good enhancement, linked to this capability, to have the option of setting your default printer preference for a specific location. This would reduce the events where a print job is sent to a local or network printer that is not at your "current location", which is always annoying, embarassing... more »

I should wait instill he back to his seat. in our company nobody like lync. we have more than 60 licenses it comes with Office365, still everybody uses only Skype , it is very user friendly. please try to improve performance and think as a end user.

Alias field allowing use of cell phone while protecting number

Please consider adding an alias name field to the Lync address for Lync users. Within the hospital that I practice in several team members sign in to a radio system that allows calls based on their title for the day (house supervisor, ED doctor). If allowed to use this title with Lync we could use the excellent voice recognition skills of Cortana and protect our cell phone numbers from use outside the work place.

Allow user to change photo on the fly

Allow user to keep a number of stored photos in their profile. Then allow user to change photos on the fly - even in the middle of a Lync conversation session.
Useful example would be to show photo based on what project or responsibilitites you are working on that week/month. On the lighter side, you could click to change the photo MOOD for the day, or even for the current conversation. Example, while discussing... more »

VB.net

I would verry much like to see better support for development in vb.net.
Not everyone likes SeePhotocopierbrand(C#)
Or at least a lot more examples for vb.net.
What would be awesome is to see an api to simply send I'M from my own applications or services instead of dropping email when something stops.
Or better yet to a persistent chat for IT staff etc.
