ADFS support

Lync should be able to provide better user identity management and AD integration through ADFS and DirSync or similar. This is currently a major limitation for LHP, hosted solutions when cloud AD integration is not possible. Current solutions involve complex, costly and often limited identity management solutions like FIM or third parties.

Continue making Cumulative Updates for the Lync Client

In the past, updates to the Lync client have come as Cumulative Update packs which could be rolled out in bulk to upgrade all users to a similar level of patches.

Now that the updates are dumped into the Windows Updates for Office 2013 batch, it's very hard to keep track of JUST the Lync Client updates. We'd like to maintain the Lync updates separately, as the larger CU packs.

Schedule recoding for a meeting

In many occasions there is an interesting meeting which you are not able to attend as it might be conflicting with other meeting or all-together does not fit conviniently with your working hours. It would be helpful to shcedule a meeting to be recorded in advance without having to actually attend it and then start the recording. Today's work-arounds: 1) Ask from the meeting organizer or someone else which is going to ...more »

Response Group Reports drill down into Abandoned

Out of the box the RGS reports are quite good. The biggest complaint I get is when customers see the abandoned calls percentage then ask "Why were these abandoned?". You have to drill down into offered calls and work it out on the SIP response codes. It would be a lot better if there was an "Unanswered Calls" column that you could drill down into. This would just need to show the call and why it wasn't answered. ...more »

Coexistence with Exchange 2007 and 2013

I would like to see Lync 2013 updated to have the ability to work properly in an environment that has both Exchange 2007 and 2013 running in a coexistence scenario. Currently if pointed to Exch 2013 but your mailbox is not migrated yet, Exch 2013 does a fine job at being a proxy and not causing an outage to the end user. However Lync constantly prompts with "Exchange needs your credentials". No matter what you enter ...more »

Persistent chat notification settings for your own messages

Right now, you can configure different notification settings for messages submitted to chat rooms. But those settings also apply to your own messages. So, if you have the client running on multiple machines, you get the notifications for messages you submit. Would be nice if there was a 'disable notifications for your own messages' setting.
