All of our customers ask me if their Lync Mobile client could be used as a VoIP phone via company WiFi.
I think this could be a great feature to implement.
May be useful if the Lync Mobile client could set the user's status "In a call" during a traditional call on the smartphone.
You still can't completely run a Lync meeting using an iPad (or iPhone or Android device) if anonymous guest users are involved. There is no way to admit them from the lobby.
Please enable the ability to remove the mobile location status from the iOS app. I would only like to show that I am available and not how I'm connected.
It would be nice if there were some simple mobile device emulators that could be used for testing during deployment.
It is currently not possible to start a multiparty chat conversation from the Lync mobile clients.
Nor voice multiparty, nor video multiparty is possible.
I suggest it should be possible to make Lync Mobile a more "complete" client.
There should be an option on the mobile Lync client to disable response group ringing. Most times, I don't want to get response group calls on the mobile client.
Please make chat rooms and history available on mobile devices.
I'd love to be able to schedule Lync meetings directly from my mobile devices. Neither my RT or my Windows Mobile are suitable for full mobility as I have to either use the Desktop client or access OWA (on a small factor screen - not ideal)
It would be great if you could configure mobile clients so that they don't receive response group calls or can only receive calls from contacts/defined list. It would also be nice if this could be set differently in and out of business hours.
For example - you might not want to receive support desk calls after hours, but may want to allow colleges to contact you directly.
It would be great to be able to answer response group calls from the mobile client. If they ring, you should be able to answer.
The Windows and Mac clients are able to utilize DNS records besides Lyncdiscover for automatic client configuration. Why can't the mobile client do the same? SRV records in particular would allow for much simpler namespace and certificate management in environments with a large number of SIP addresses.
I am up and down from my desk and leave many Lync (Skype for Business) messages hanging. If I open my mobile version, the answers my desktop may have received do not show up on my phone and the previous comments in our discussion are not there, either. Have a persistent updating of both desktop and mobile to keep the conversations in sync only makes sense for people on the go (which is nearly everyone these days). I... more »
