For organizations that require password changes (which almost all do), when I change my Active Directory account password it does not update the password on Lync Phone Edition. Generally this isn't an issue as the phone keeps working, BUT, Exchange intregration on the phone becomes unavailable because my password is wrong. I cannot view Call Logs, Voicemails, or Calendar on the phone. It requires me (and our users)... more »
Most users find it annoing to recieve another call when they are already in call. Please implement busy on busy feature. Every stone aged PBX can do this!
Today there is no decent way of doing call recording on a multi-site Lync implimentation. You need to have appliances at each location to capture the packets. It would be helpful if there was a centralized method of getting all peer-to-peer and PSTN type traffic
There is a delay when answering a response group call. This is exacerbated by Lync Phone Edition but it present with most endpoints.
Change the PIN system to be a REAL single PIN, shared between Lync and Exchange, like the Active Directory Account Password
Please add to Lync Control Pannel a GUI interface to create and edit the Response Group Holiday Sets. There is a free good editor from Jamie Schwinn (http://waveformation.com/holidayseteditor/), why MS could not do the same with Silverlight?
This would allow for more granular control of specific users/groups being able to federate with specific allowed domains, while other users/groups have access to other allowed domains.
Lync 2013 Should Be Able to Record in Multi-Party/Gallery format. (much like google hangouts). All the video is already being delivered to client, it is just showing active speaker.
verification not in lync 2013 at this time:
Would like the ability to have reports for business users. The current reporting in Lync 2013 is geared toward call quality, diagnostics, ... It would be great to have reports that show how many calls come into the company, how many calls are answered by each person, how many calls were offered to each person, average time to answer, average call time, call volume by hour, ... This would have to include peer-to-peer... more »
Sefautil is a nice tool for configuring call forwarding, delegates, group call pickup, etc. But it's quirky, lacks good reporting and error handling, and just plain difficult if you don't use it often. Having standard cmdlets to perform these tasks would be a blessing.
Admin level ability to disable "Hide My Picture" in Lync Client
When running open federation the only way of checking which organizations that are federating with your organization is to go into your edge server (in that workgroup in that DMZ), open the event viewer and look for Event ID 14601. Here you will find a list of all active domains (organizations) that are currently federating with you. My suggestion is that this list should be visible in the Lync Server Control Panel... more »
I get asked every project: can we customize/marketize the Web Conference Invite that goes out in email? This could could be as simple as exposing the underlying DLL or whatever it is for editing. Or better yet, give us a small engine to do the editing with logos, custom help URL's, ability to change the UGLY appearance of the Dialin numbers, etc. If the standard invite has a parameter, we should be able to change... more »
PLEASE!! Make Room # a property that you can set using New-CsCommonAreaPhone Both in Lync and the new AD Contact that it creates. We receive every type of doc possible PDF, JPGs, Excel spreads sheet galore. The ONLY thing they "ever" have in common is the Room #. P.S. I grant the phone # so that's a no go...
When adding a new user with EV through the Lync Control Panel or through powershell, you must add
"tel:" in front of the (required) telephone number. Since this requirement is there 100% of time lync should just go ahead and add "tel:" on its own.
