While UCMA is having enormous benefits of letting the users create multiple users , the restriction to have only audio endpoints and audio flow undermines the usage as everyone wants to test the video as well when other endpoints are involved. This would help to a lot in testing the different endpoints.
Ok, so I have multiple video sources (cameras) attached to my client, perhaps I'm a teacher in a room but not using a room based system. This would help training so so much. Right now we can use airplay to mirror and record training sessions or do live sales demos, but when you add A/V, airplay is blocked. This is NOT blocked in the iPhone, but in the iPhone, Lync audio isn't airplayed either.
Microsoft has been pretty silent about this lately - no press or ETA about having the video integration and security completed between Lync and Skype. Does anyone have any news or new information on this? I do not know if it is client or server side but recording quality is really bad, especially for the video frame and audio encoding. There is a world between what you see/hear live and the exported recording :-( We are using a 720p video feed and audio from a mixing console (hand and tie mics) so the diference from live to export is really bad :-( So far I capture the slides wit Lync the I add audio and video into a Premiere ...more »
Right now, if one presenter locks the video spotlight, it becomes the view for all attendees. This should either be an individual setting, or something that can be disabled either by policy or meeting options from the organizer.
Its a pity that when I click Join Lync Meeting and then choose to join the meeting audio via a DDI of my choosing that the video is then disabled.
Would be handy if I still had the option to have video without the workaround of joining without audio and then inviting my DDI.
allow the user (or administrator) to choose the camera on/off default status when answering a video call. Feature has changed with LYNC2010 and onwards vs OCS/MOC in this area - now when you answer an incoming video call, your camera is default disabled, and you need to activate on a per call basis.
Lync 2013 Should Be Able to Record in Multi-Party/Gallery format. (much like google hangouts). All the video is already being delivered to client, it is just showing active speaker.

The Lync Web App plug-in is great and could be used to add Audio and Video capability to Exchange OWA, to use it as a full client when the user could no use anything else (for eg. Internet Cafè)
I would like to see the Conferencing policies expanded/seperated so that I can assign a user the ability to have 200 participants for an audio conference and another policy that only allow 15 participants for a video conference.
Today there is no decent way of doing call recording on a multi-site Lync implimentation. You need to have appliances at each location to capture the packets. It would be helpful if there was a centralized method of getting all peer-to-peer and PSTN type traffic
