I am developing bot using Lync 2013,so whenever user enter any character like :), :( , :D it becomes emoticons. Lync 2013 keeps them automatically turning characters I type into little face, cups of coffee, and other stupid icons so I want to control the turn off emoticons through code using lync 2013 api.
is there any way to control using lync api ?
The computers in our office are top of the line aside from all having solid state HDDs. The start-up speed for Lync/Skype-for-Business is unacceptable. There must be some code clean-up in that bloated start up to speed things along.
Most of our users are disabling the program from starting up with the computer due to it's bogging it down!
I have seen requests by legal and security departments that wish for their to be more visibility, or more specifically warning, for a user that is about to communicate with a federated partner. While a disclaimer helps with some of that, disclaimer messages are sometimes glossed over. It would be incredible if perhaps the conversation window and tab of a federation partner conversation could be shaded differently from ...more »
The ability to send a generic Archiving Disclaimer to federated partners is nice, but not nearly sufficient for many organizations. For instance, some may have legal departments that wish to convey more than a simple Archiving Disclaimer - they may wish to remind both parties that the conversation is taking place with a Federated Partner, and not with an internal contact (sometimes we can glaze over things with the tabbed ...more »
please allow optional display of a contact's actual time at their location under their name. This must be take from computer's set time and time zone. That would allow for people who travel to set a new time zone and then this would always be correct.
I miss the GroupChats layout. On that the names were not taking up space between the messages and there was no "air" between the messages. This meant I could see three times as many messages on the same screen space. I could get the overview of a situation much faster, since I didn't have to scroll to get a bit more history.
How about a drop-down box for the Lync client SIP sign-in ?
Let's call it Lync Client - "Consultant Edition" :-)
Entries in drop down box should be pulled from SIP profiles on device.
I have multiple SIP profiles for multiple clients and am forever flipping between profiles.
This is just an Idea, please ignore if already implemented, but it will be good if we get to know about the meeting title the person is attending when we hover over the person contact in Lync contact.
In many occasions there is an interesting meeting which you are not able to attend as it might be conflicting with other meeting or all-together does not fit conviniently with your working hours. It would be helpful to shcedule a meeting to be recorded in advance without having to actually attend it and then start the recording. Today's work-arounds: 1) Ask from the meeting organizer or someone else which is going to ...more »
I would like to see Lync 2013 updated to have the ability to work properly in an environment that has both Exchange 2007 and 2013 running in a coexistence scenario. Currently if pointed to Exch 2013 but your mailbox is not migrated yet, Exch 2013 does a fine job at being a proxy and not causing an outage to the end user. However Lync constantly prompts with "Exchange needs your credentials". No matter what you enter ...more »
Out of the box the RGS reports are quite good. The biggest complaint I get is when customers see the abandoned calls percentage then ask "Why were these abandoned?". You have to drill down into offered calls and work it out on the SIP response codes. It would be a lot better if there was an "Unanswered Calls" column that you could drill down into. This would just need to show the call and why it wasn't answered. ...more »
