skype for business / Lync Ews local PreferLocal autoconfig

Exchange team saw the need to cater for incorporating local autoconfiguration file. In outlook, There is a registry key used to tell outlook to use local autodiscovery XML file. This is particularly useful in migration scenarios. However Lync & SfB can only use DNS autodiscovery. It's worse with SfB, EWS cannot be turned off.
I would like to see this feature as it solves migration issues, without giving users authentication... more »

Ability to select who you can hear during a Conference Call

When in a Skype conference call and a colleague who sits next to, or close to me is talking, I can hear them twice like an echo. I can hear them speaking in the room but also delayed on my headset, due to latency issues, a second or so later. It is extremely off-putting and difficult to hear what they are saying. Often the only solution is for us to move desks so we are further away and can't hear each other, or to book... more »

CU and DB version numbers

I would like to see, after a CU runs, that all the various elements all have the same number. Even if there was no update to them, having the CU update some attribute would be a nice bit of housecleaning. And while I am complaining about that, I think all the databases should have the same version number also. If I do install-csdatabase _configureddatabases all of the databases should have the same version number.

Start-up/Load Time Improvment (Office 365)

The computers in our office are top of the line aside from all having solid state HDDs. The start-up speed for Lync/Skype-for-Business is unacceptable. There must be some code clean-up in that bloated start up to speed things along.

Most of our users are disabling the program from starting up with the computer due to it's bogging it down!

Lync Mobile

Chat continuity from desktop to/from mobile

I am up and down from my desk and leave many Lync (Skype for Business) messages hanging. If I open my mobile version, the answers my desktop may have received do not show up on my phone and the previous comments in our discussion are not there, either.

Have a persistent updating of both desktop and mobile to keep the conversations in sync only makes sense for people on the go (which is nearly everyone these days). I... more »

Fix Lync/S4B mobile (and Lync for mac) contact list

The contactlist integration of the mobile client is not uptodate with the Windowsclient.
If you create a contact in Outlook with only a name and a PSTN-number it shows up correctly on the desktop client since it fetches contact data from both Lync and Exchange.
But on the mobile the client shows up as a PSTN-number as displayname.

Time Zone Support

Hello! I work with teams in 6 different time zones. I try to make first contact with many team members on SFB. These team members show up as 'not on line', and that's OK, however I would like to know how long I need to wait before checking again (mental clock setting). If time zone support were included in the user profile, and displayed in SFB next to the name I would see that my new work associate Bill is on PACIFIC... more »

Option to disable Edge Media Relay

It should be an option to be able to disable the Edge Media Relay. Currently, if you have an Edge deployed, it must be up in order to make many types of calls. If the Edge or Edge Pool is unavailable for any reason what so ever, Many types of calls will fail. Not to mention some environments REALLY REALLY don't want or won't allow DMZ access to all internal Desktop machines, ie 3478<-->Any. I appreciate the benefit... more »

TraceRoute path to be included as confirmation of path in CDR

Quite often to troubleshoot we have had to reach out to the end user to see what the path from the client to the front end is when trying to see if there are multiple paths at the time of the call. Having the client optionally attach a traceroute showing the hops and response time to the FE would greatly help the process.
