Right now, you can configure different notification settings for messages submitted to chat rooms. But those settings also apply to your own messages. So, if you have the client running on multiple machines, you get the notifications for messages you submit. Would be nice if there was a 'disable notifications for your own messages' setting.
Ego Feed alerts work great. But if you already have a specific room open in the client, any related alerts for that room should be suppressed.
If you right click on a pchat room in the Lync 2013 client, you can broadcast a message. But you can't drag more chat rooms into that list. You have to close it and then select all of the chat rooms and right click. It would be nice if you could drag and drop chat rooms into the list if the dialog box is already open.
This has (allegedly) made it prettier and aligned it with Outlook etc, but has made it significantly less user friendly, as you have to scroll back through conversations... more »
The server side supports it, since using the Lync 2010 Group Chat allows users to send files through Lync 2013. It's about time the Lync 2013 client provided this functionality as well.
Version 15.0.4420.1017; MSO: 15.0.4420.1017 puts a timestamp on each individual post in a persistent chat room. Version 15.0.4623.1000; MSO: 15.0.4615.1000 no longer has that behavior.
Bring back this feature but make it a configuration option for persistent chat.
