users on the WAN will be able to make IM, PC to PC voice calls but will not be able to make PSTN voice calls from via Edge server.
For ease of installation, it would be nice to have the Deployment Wizard be able to install the prerequisites, such as hotfixes, features, and roles that are necessary for installation.

For Small Businesses Lync Online and SBA Integration (for PSTN Integration) could be interesting. In that way you can enable Enterprise Voice features and also have voice business continuity in case of WAN failure.

Lync should be able to provide better user identity management and AD integration through ADFS and DirSync or similar. This is currently a major limitation for LHP, hosted solutions when cloud AD integration is not possible. Current solutions involve complex, costly and often limited identity management solutions like FIM or third parties.
Even if Call Forwarding is disabled in Voice Policy the option is still visible in the Lync client. This confuses users who think they can configure call forwarding.
3rd party applications that can connect to Lync server should be able to be blocked.
