Lync Should Add a Presense State for Ringing for Call Pickup

As Lync 2013 now has the ability to use Call Pickup which works on the Principle that if u hear the Phone Ring u can Pickup another users Phone Call - which works very well insetad of complex Simultaneous Ring Setup

This Scenario obviously only works if u can hear the phone - now that Phone Vendors like Snom are providing customizable Buttons if Lync Could provide a presence that changes color or flashes to alert user... more »

Lync 2013 Client - client certificate login

For organizations like ours that have Smart Card login enforced (no user/password), we are unable to use iOS, Windows Phone and other clients except Lync "desktop" Client from domain joined computer (user is logged on to computer with SmartCard therefore it has kerberos ticket issued). If Lync non-desktop client could support client certificates, we could easily export client cert from smart card and import it to iOS,... more »

correct or warn on "sip:" that is not all lower case

If you create a trusted application endpoint, and assign a SIP address where the "sip:" prefix is either capitalized or in all upper case, you don't get an error/warning. However, if you then try to send an IM to that endpoint, you get obscure errors. The solution is to change the "sip:" prefix to all lower case. It would be nice if Lync either errored when you try to assign it, or just corrected it to all lower case.... more »

Multiple DID's for a Lync user\RGS

I would like to see the ability to:-
1. assign multiple line URI's to a single user
2. assign multiple line URI's to a Response Group.

Reason being that we want to make the person or RG available as a local DID. We often come across scenarios where services are offered across multiple regions and human nature is usually to call the "local guys".

Imagine a response group responsible for National support but being reachable... more »

Skype video integration - is this done yet, or soon?

Microsoft has been pretty silent about this lately - no press or ETA about having the video integration and security completed between Lync and Skype. Does anyone have any news or new information on this?

Latest _real_ news or press about this I see was at Lync 2014 conference (Feb/March timeframe) and was imminent, although they made it seem like it was right around the corner over a year ago.

My understanding is... more »

Monitoring Report Bug?

This may be more of a SQL issue (and dare I say bug?) than a Lync issue (bug?) but I am posting it here as it affects Lync and Skype servers.

I have a customer with multiple sites and each site has a special dial code we have implemented that starts with an "*" (eg - *035). When a user calls this number the call itself works just fine but when it tries to write the data for that call to the monitoring reports we get... more »

Limit AppSharing for specific applications

I have encountered scenarios where customers due to Security concerns need to Control what users can share, but not remove the possibility entirely. In such a case the Desktop/Application/None feature within Conferencing Policy is not enough.
This could be implemented the same way that the TrustModelData registry key is used for domain trust, so that GPO or ADMX could be Applied by admins. Preferably both an included/allowed... more »

ADFS support

Lync should be able to provide better user identity management and AD integration through ADFS and DirSync or similar. This is currently a major limitation for LHP, hosted solutions when cloud AD integration is not possible. Current solutions involve complex, costly and often limited identity management solutions like FIM or third parties.
