In the Transfer Directly to and Consult Then Transfer option it should have the option to pick the user's voicemailbox as well as their numbers.
It would be really useful to be able to share screens when users are on the attendant for remote support and
The Lync client should be redesigned to organize or automatically "snap" the user's call(s) and/or conference windows to the main window of the Lync client. This way the user will not have several "call" windows in the taskbar and desktop.
This will allow for easier organization of calls in a busy environment where the user has multiple applications running.
Today there is no decent way of doing call recording on a multi-site Lync implimentation. You need to have appliances at each location to capture the packets. It would be helpful if there was a centralized method of getting all peer-to-peer and PSTN type traffic
Change the PIN system to be a REAL single PIN, shared between Lync and Exchange, like the Active Directory Account Password
Sefautil is a nice tool for configuring call forwarding, delegates, group call pickup, etc. But it's quirky, lacks good reporting and error handling, and just plain difficult if you don't use it often. Having standard cmdlets to perform these tasks would be a blessing.
My suggestion is that this list should be visible in the Lync Server Control Panel... more »
PLEASE!! Make Room # a property that you can set using New-CsCommonAreaPhone Both in Lync and the new AD Contact that it creates. We receive every type of doc possible PDF, JPGs, Excel spreads sheet galore. The ONLY thing they "ever" have in common is the Room #. P.S. I grant the phone # so that's a no go...
When adding a new user with EV through the Lync Control Panel or through powershell, you must add
"tel:" in front of the (required) telephone number. Since this requirement is there 100% of time lync should just go ahead and add "tel:" on its own.
Clients with closed federations who can't join the meeting using their Lync client, could then just click on the Web Client Only link.
The comment discussion is also overlapping with the "Web Conference invite customized" suggestion. Vote for his too, or merge these ideas... more »
The Setting for unanswered calls resets every time the user sets the call forwarding to a Special Destination.
1. User has no voicemail enabled
2. User sets destination for unanswered calls to the central office number
3. Now, the user sets a call forwarding to a colleague
4. After disabling the call forwarding, the konfig for unanswered calls resets to "no voicemail, ringing for 20 seconds.
Some cmdlets don't support this, such as the *-CsCommonAreaPhone cmdlets. It would be nice if -DomainController was supported to assist with deployment scripts in environments where AD replication comes into play.
The Lync Phone Edition Phones should be able to set permanent Call FWDs. Certain Receptions don't want a Response Group (they are temps and not real AD users) and need a device (Common Area Phone) that can be manually changed to route the reception call to various mobiles and ect...

Obviously SBA's are not powerful enough to run IVR's but there could be a "Backup Hunt Group" within the Response Group workflow.
E.g. Normal operation all RGS calls are dealt with via FE Pool (HG or IVR)
During WAN/Pool Down scenario the SBA can still... more »
