Would be nice if you could authenticate to Skype, and have it pull your contacts into Lync.
If you hover over the handset icon for a contact, you see all of the ways to connect to a user in Lync. Lync call, Voicemail, and phone numbers, etc.. If a user isn't voice enabled, then the phone numbers are irrelevant. They shouldn't be visible or clickable to non voice users.
Communicator had a recent contacts option. The new Frequently Contacted in Lync does not work the same way.
With recent contacts, if I ever contacted somebody or someone contacted me, there name would remain
in that list for at least a few weeks, and after that period if I hadn't contacted them again, it would eventually go away.
Right now, you can add a phone number to your Lync contacts list. But you can't right click on it and change the privacy relationship to blocked. This would be a welcome solution for users who want to block numbers in orgs that don't have a number blocking solution in place.
Ability to Search / Filter a full-company Organization Chart. (Similar to the Organization Tab on a contact Card).
This would allow for filtering of such things as:
- Displaying only online members
- Displaying only members of 'HR' for example
- Display only members in a certain locale.
Example: - Display all contacts that belong to the HR' Department, are currently online, and in the United Kingdom office.
