Meet Now button in Lync via Outlook Web App / Exchange Online

I had fun writing this post last night and pushing the boundaries of Lync in OWA.
It got me thinking. The addition of a 'Meet Now' button on the Contact card, right beside "Schedule a meeting", would be perfect. It could create the meeting space, log you into the Lync Online meeting in your browser and send an invite to your Lync contact to join the meeting. Option to install Office Web App on the Front-End Server

I think that Office Web App is a good solution to manage the PP presentation to PC, Mac and iPad, but the requirement to be a separate server is not so good.

I think could be better to have the option to install it on the Front-End, very practice in a single FE deployment.

In more complex deployment the stand-alone OWA server remain the best solution.

Lync Client

Improve non-federated client meeting behavior

We've been seeing an increase in the number of Lync folks that have native Lync clients connected to a non-open environment. Largely these appear to be US government folks.

When we attempt to invite them to a meeting, their native client takes priority and attempts to connect but fails due to their non federated environment or firewall. We then have them back track and open up the web client.

LinkedIn profile link in Lync/Skype4B app/client

The Lync/Skype4B client and mobile app should have an option to update our linkedin profile link in our Lync/Skype4B profile as an optional feature. That will actually help the work groups and peers to stay connected more efficiently in a professional manner and able to know each other more closely.
