When downloading an existing topology you must save this topology to a file on the local computer that you name. It is impossible to download and look at the topology without saving this file. Since that is mandatory - a better solution would be if the topology builder automatically saves a file with the date and time every time you download the topology.
The Lync client downloads an address book after sign-in. It waits between 0 - 60 minutes before doing this. You can set a regkey to download immediately. If you also exit the client, wipe out galcontacts.db and log on again you will get a new address book. When adding a new user with EV through the Lync Control Panel or through powershell, you must add
"tel:" in front of the (required) telephone number. Since this requirement is there 100% of time lync should just go ahead and add "tel:" on its own.
It is currently not possible to start a multiparty chat conversation from the Lync mobile clients.
Nor voice multiparty, nor video multiparty is possible.
I suggest it should be possible to make Lync Mobile a more "complete" client.
When running open federation the only way of checking which organizations that are federating with your organization is to go into your edge server (in that workgroup in that DMZ), open the event viewer and look for Event ID 14601.
