In Lync / Skype meetings it should be possible to transmit a clearly visible mouse pointer, marked with the name of the participant pointing at a specific point during a desktop sharing session. Currently only the presenter's pointer is visible. This is a common feature in products like Teamviewer and should be available in S4B desktop sharing too!
There is not a known way of modifying the Join Skype Meeting text when using the New Skype Meeting in Outlook. Being able to modify it would cause less confusion as we work through the rebranding.
Currently the "Call me at" dropdown only lists phone numbers from my Phones options. I would like to create a custom list of numbers to include each conference room that I typically use, and name each entry in the list accordingly. Even better if the dropdown could automatically contain the phone number of the conference room the meeting is being held in! This would be very helpful for meeting organizers / presenters. ...more »
Maybe I'm quite dumb, but I have not find a really quick way to start a Lync meeting in my dedicated meeting space. I have to open the browser, go to the dialin page, sign in, copy the URL, paste in the browser... Or, go to Outlook, create a Lync meeting, options, use my dedicated meeting space, copy the URL, ... It would be great to interact with guests in the Lobby. Tell them to wait, or ask them simple questions
to be able to include in the invite automatically, the link to join via a web client, in other words, with "?sl=1" at the end of the meeting path. Clients with closed federations who can't join the meeting using their Lync client, could then just click on the Web Client Only link. The comment discussion is also overlapping with the "Web Conference invite customized" suggestion. Vote for his too, or merge these ideas ...more »
Lync 2013 Should Be Able to Record in Multi-Party/Gallery format. (much like google hangouts). All the video is already being delivered to client, it is just showing active speaker.
verification not in lync 2013 at this time:
People joining Lync meetings, either Online & On-Prem, could benefit from an audio file being played at entrance. This would confirm for them that they are receiving audio.
It would also take some pressure of the host to fill the silence before the meeting starts.
Lync should have something like the Live Meeting functionality to upload a video and stream it. Right now there is a workaroun using a webcam application called ManyCam (http://voipnorm.blogspot.mx/2011/03/streaming-video-content-or-using-two.html).
